A short description about Kalariyoga. Kalariyoga can be considered as an invaluable emerald from India as it has a tradition of thousands of years and is the best exercise oriented medicine to stay healthy. According to the principles of it, the person who are regularly practicing kalariyoga in 'Brahma muhurtha' (which means early morning approximately between 3:30 am to 5:30 am) along with a strict healthy lifestyle included with a perfect diet which consists of completely naturally produced edible fruits, leafs and seeds or its extracts can survive at least 4 times than a person who are following ordinary lifestyle. These people will not be effected with any diseases, obesity or over mental stress and they can experience the ever youthfulness.

The 18th branch of Kalaripayattu practice named as 'anuthama' which is included with the slow movements and still postures of Kalaripayattu is later named as yoga. In olden days, the training of this principle was provided in the upasana kalari of 'ashtakon kalari' which consisted of eight number of kalaris in a single building structure in different angles. The students were supposed to sit in different round wooden platforms to learn the lessons of anuthama in upasana kalari. According to the history, the people who completed the holistic training of ashtakon kalari was later becomes rishis, munisreshtas or yogacharyas and taught the principle of anuthama to the society which was named as Yoga. The practice of kalariyoga in its traditional or original format can be found only in kalaris where the holistic training of Kalaripayattu is provided which is included with Kalaripayattu, Kalarimarma treatment and kalariyoga.
