Varaahapandhithirummu of kalarimarma is one among the massage  therapy segments which is used to be provided for students who learn kalaripayattu. This massage therapy is helpful to improve the capabilities to perform varahavadivu or postures of a wild boar and certain movements of it with more flexibility, strength and speed along with perfection. It is also helpful to achieve the powerful stance similar to that of a wild boar along with the perfection and improved capabilities of backbone and hip joints. This therapy segment is provided for selected dedicated students by the master. It is also helpful to perform well in the angathari segment with improved capabilities of muscles, joints and nerves along with the abilities to practice higher levels of kalaripayattu. There are certain rules while conducting this therapy among students according to their body conditions. Some students may be prescribed with the intake of several medicines while undergoing this therapy. The purpose of this video is to preserve this precious knowledge from extinction.
